Antonio López-Peláez Manoja
(b. León, 1967)
Is a writer and a teacher. He has received awards for several of his screenplays and short stories, various of which have appeared in literary magazines such as El Signo del Gorrión, Solaria and El Espejo.
His first collection of short stories, No Te Duermas, Mi Amor, Mira la Calle, was published in 2003 by KRK Ediciones. His debut as a novelist, Nada Puede el Sol, is a compelling and powerful story set in Liberia. The novel was eagerly supported by the prestigious literary house Mondadori, who published it in February 2008.
Antonio López-Peláyez resides in Extremadura, where in addition to writing he teaches English in the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas..
