Elia Barceló was born in Alcante 1957 and lives in Austria. She is a professor of Spanish Language and Literature in the University of Innsbruck.
She has published several novels for young adults, short stories and novels like: Las largas sombras -The long Shadows- (Ambar) Corazón de Tango -Tango's Hearth- (451 Editores) Disfraces terribles -Terrible Disguises- and El secreto del Orfebre -The Goldsmith's Secret- (Lengua de Trapo) sold into twelve countries: United Kingdom (MacLehose Press), Germany (Piper Verlag), Holland (Uitgeverij Signature), France (Flammarion), Italy (Marcos&Marcos), Greece (Patakis), Norway (Gyldendal), Sweden (Albert Bonniers Förlag), Croacia (Fraktura), Denmark (Borgen Hekla Vindrose).
She is well known for her talent for both the quality and the fantasy fiction and is very successful in Germany and in the Netherlands. |
