Francisco Peregil (Huelva, 1967) is the editor of the Sunday section of El País; A correspondent for El País, he won the Ortega y Gasset journalism award in 2003 with various other Spanish reporters who distinguished themselves in the war in Iraq. He has written a book on the Iraq war, Reportero en Bagdad (Planeta), 2003.
In addition to his journalistic works, Francisco Peregil has written the biography Camarón de la Isla, El dolor de un príncipe (Temas de Hoy) and the novels Dulce como la hiel de tus labios (Plaza & Janés), Era tan bella (Destino) and Manuela (Espasa, 2005).
