João Silvério Trevisan was born in Ribeirão Bonito, Sao Paulo. Journalist, playwright, translator, essayist and writer, he is one of the most recognized Brazilian writers. He is a Jabuti Award winner in the category of novels for his works O livro do avesso (1983) and for Ana em Veneza (1994).
