El día de Navidad, Laura recibe un regalo especial, un videojuego al revés. Por un accidente, Laura, sus cuatro hermanos y sus tres perros de peluche se convierten en los protagonistas virtuales del videojuego y aparecen en un mundo donde todo está al revés y nada es lo que parece. Para regresar a casa tendrán que enfrentarse al malvado Gran Mago y superar muchos obstáculos, como atravesar el peligrosísimo Río Tenebro o un bosque de plantas carnívoras. Obstáculos que no podrán superar si no se ayudan los unos a los otros.
